Why is a community building workshop important?
With social cohesion high on the national agenda, these workshops create opportunities for South Africans to discover powerful ways of connecting across divisive boundaries, strengthening the fabric of South African society. The two-day workshops are based on the methodology and work of best-selling author Peter Block, known internationally for his work on empowerment and citizenship.
The Community Building Workshops are about the discovery of a community building methodology that really works, that builds social cohesion in communities and organisations. Participants engage with this methodology in such a way that, after the workshop, they are able to convene meaningful gatherings in their own workplace or community.
