For the month of February the SAODN will be hosting a session on "The Neuroscience of Enhancing Brain Performance". We are excited to have Dr. Etienne van der Walt and Tony Kirton as the speakers who are experts in the field of Neuroscience in South Africa.
As professionals, do we really know how well our brains are performing? Or how well they could perform? In two short decades, advanced imaging technologies and other increasingly sophisticated methods of research in neuroscience have led to a growing number of remarkable discoveries about the previously unimaginable world of the human brain. Based on the ground breaking work of neurologist and cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Etienne van der Walt, the presentation will introduce the audience to a neuroscientific model of the key drivers brain performance, how they integrate as one system, and how they can be individually and collectively enhanced.
Etienne and his partner, Tony Kirton, will also share the key elements of a program called BrainCoach for Professionals. The presentation will also demonstrate some of the current neuroscience of how the brain learns.

Their target audience is decision-makers and others directly engaged in the development of the individual and collective performance of organisations.
