A large and successful e-commerce organisation, specialising in the international market is currently searching for a Email Marketing Manager, with web or e-commerce knowledge to join their rapidly expanding team. Main objective:

The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the organizations Communication Strategy, ensuring effective delivery of email communication, and to actively participate in all other aspects of the email marketing function to direct the organisation in achieving overall communication goals.

Key performance areas:

Management
• Management of organisations Communication Strategy (Email/SMS)
• Management and coordination of email marketing team
• Reporting and analysis of mailing key performance metrics
• Mail volume controls

Mailing
• Responsible for sending outgoing bulk emails on a daily basis
• Checking mailer quality and accuracy of content
• Uploading of mails and lists to the email marketing system
• Ensuring that mails are sent out on time according to pre-determined deadlines

List management
• Pulling of list from reporting services and requesting lists from Development Department
• Ensuring that the list criteria is correct and corresponds with the promotional requirements
• Sorting of lists according to the promotion requirements

Consults with
• Design
• Development
Skills and attributes
• Minimum 2 years experience in email marketing function
• Experince in HTML will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of MS office (excel and word)
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail are essential
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and work to deadlines
• Strong organisation skills
• Have an understanding of basic marketing principals and email best practice policies
