Raised fins cause greater friction and increased ball spin, enhancing control over the ball's trajectory for added accuracy. The redesigned shot shield also increases flexibility to enhance the natural motion of the foot.

A high density EVA sockliner with Poron insert provides the Nike Total 90 Laser IV football boots with contoured arch and heel support and additional comfort, distributing stud pressure evenly on firm ground surfaces. For the Total 90 Laser IV football boots Nike have engineered a completely new dual density TPU sole plate with an improved moulded stud design that maximizes pitch penetration speed on firm ground without increased stud pressure.

Integrated ridges within the sole plate of the Nike T90 Laser IV provide medial, lateral and toe-off traction, reducing slippage on the side of these football boots for additional traction on firm ground surfaces.
